How does a one-way mirror work?
A two-way mirror is a glazing or an adhesive film covered with a thin non concealing metallic layer, unlike a classical mirror. This metallization enables the creation of a screen that reflects daylight while preserving the transparency of the glass on the inside hand. Here everything is a question of lighting: a two-way mirror works thanks to the light and the ‘mirror effect’ forms itself on the side of the light. How? The metallic microparticles reflects the light and transform the glass in a reflecting screen. When the contrast between inside and outside inverse itself, the mirror effect stops. For example, on an exterior glazing, the mirror effect stops at sundown when inside lights are on.
